چکیده
Yellow leaf disease (YLD) is one of the important viral diseases in sugarcane. It caused by Sugarcane yellow virus (ScYLV), a positive sense single stranded RNA primarily transmits through infected setts and secondarily aphid Melanaphis sacchari. Earlier, it was identified as minor India, but recent years attained epidemic status with incidences from 30 to 50 % plant crop more than 70% ratoon crops which significantly affected productivity. At present, being effectively managed tissue culture derived free planting materials. However, after transplantation TC plants field, succumbed made difficulties sustain high yield sugar varieties field for long time. Hence, present study taken up identify (YL) resistant lines large pool parental commercial hybrids. During year 2015-21, YLD incidence, ScYLV (apparent) susceptible were based on natural screening population maintained at National Hybridization Garden, ICAR-SBI, Coimbatore. The highest incidence 24.20% observed least 75.63% resistance during 2021 followed 23.70% 76.33% 2019. In contrast, 7.90% 92.09% 2017. last seven years, ranges population. Based phenotyping, 105 apparently could be used YL breeding programme future.

Eradicating Sugarcane Yellow Leaf Virus in Sugarcane Variety N32 through Tissue Culture
Yellow Leaf Syndrome of sugarcane is caused by Sugarcane Yellow Leaf Virus (SCYLV) and/or Sugarcane Yellows Phytoplasma (SCYP). Using tissue blot immunoassay to determine the presence of SCYLV, leaf samples of sugarcane variety N32 taken from a propagation plot at Mount Edgecombe all tested positive. In this study, two methods of tissue culture were used in an attempt to eradicate SCYLV from N3...
متن کاملIDENTIFICATION OF MOLECULAR MARKERS LINKED TO LEAF CURL VIRUS DISEASE RESISTANCE IN COTTON
The identification of molecular markers linked to leaf curl virus (CLCuV) disease resistance in cotton has the potential to improve both the efficiency and the efficacy of selection in cotton breeding programs. Genetic analysis suggested that CLCuV resistance is controlled by a single dominant gene. In this study, an interspecific F2 population derived from a cross of Gossypium barbadense and G...
متن کاملPhenotypic and Molecular Screening of Tomato Germplasm for Resistance to Tomato Yellow Leaf Curl Virus
Tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLCV) is a major tomato virus in tropical and subtropical regions. In this study, 134 accessions of Solanum lycopersicum and six accessions of Solanum peruvianum were assessed for resistance to an Iranian isolate of TYLCV. Plants were inoculated using whiteflies (Bemisia tabaci) and the reaction of plants was evaluated based on either disease symptoms or viral DN...

Identify the indices of leaf growth and development and study of phyllochron in commercial cultivars of sugarcane with the aim of better management of agricultural practices is very important. A field experiment was conducted in Amir Kabir Agroindustry in the south of Khuzestan, Iran in 2015-16 in randomized complete block design with three replications. The sugarcane cultivars included; CP69-1...
